Charley Leon English, age 66 of Pelsor, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home. He was born October 2, 1947 at Red Rock, Arkansas the son of William Parish English and Maudie (Milsaps) English. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. Charley was a 1967 graduate of Deer High School. He was of the Assembly of God faith and had lived most of his life in Newton County. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Johnny Andrew Reddell, Leslie Leo Reddell and Jimmy English; one sister, Lily Juanita (English) Morgan and four half brothers, Earl Hicks, John Hicks, Lewis English and George Hicks. Survivors are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Randell Criner and Sharlena and Randy Dotson all of Pelsor, Arkansas; three brothers, Cecil Reddell of Dover, Arkansas, Jerrell and Betty English of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Bill and Raylene English of Branch, Arkansas; five sisters, Dorothy Martin of Harrison, Rozella and Moe Marsh of Porter, Oklahoma, Lavern and Ray Pease of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Kathern Riddle of Vendor, Arkansas and Evelyn Riddle of Harrison, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Savanna Dotson Myers, Jimmy Roy Lee Dotson, Dustin Criner, Justin Criner, Tiffany Criner, Brittany Criner and Santana Criner; seven great-grandchildren, Sierra Dotson, Jacqueline Dotson, Sarena Myers, Kadence Dotson, Kholbie Dotson, Kinsley Dotson and Kailynn Criner and a great-granddaughter due this month. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral service was Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bro. Wesley Ricketts officiating. Burial followed in the Cowell Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper. Visitation was Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Shane Campbell, Scottie Marsh, Moe Marsh, Ray Pease, Jerrell English and Ernie Van Hemert. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Campbell, James Morgan, Cecil Reddell, Joe Ricketts, Buddy Campbell, Gary Dotson and all his nephews and nieces.
