Obituary

Charles D. Sanders, age 76 of Bellefonte, Arkansas went to be with his Lord Sunday, March 22, 2009 at his home.

The son of Charles Eugene and Odessa (Craig) Sanders, he was born February 14, 1933 in Earth, Texas.

He was a member of Everton Baptist Church and was a devout Christian who loved his Lord and Savior. He also had been a Deacon of Gober Baptist Church in Gober, Texas. He was very proud of his opportunity to work on the Titan and Apollo missions while working for NASA. Charles also had a love for his family and animals.

His parents preceded him in death, along with one sister.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Sanders of the home; sons, Mark Sanders and his wife, Sheri of Bellefonte and Patrick W. Sanders and his wife, Starlinda of Western Grove; a daughter, Anne Woolbert and her husband, Dr. Sam Woolbert of Plano, Texas; brothers, John Sanders and Harvey Sanders both of Norman, Oklahoma;
fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services were Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the funeral home chapel with Dwight Crowley officiating. Burial followed in Holmes Cemetery with pallbearers being grandsons, J.T. Douglas, Tyler Douglas, Seth Woolbert, Joshua Sanders, Kyle Sanders, Holden Sanders, Christopher Sanders, Blake Sanders, and Troy Woolbert. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, Laura Sanders, Marissa Crise, Ashley Woolbert, Lauren Woolbert, and David Woolbert, also John Henley, Dwayne Mintle, Morris Cothran, Chuck Browder, and Everton Baptist Church members.

Memorials may be made to Everton Bapist Church.
