Charles Ramsey, 83 of Deer, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.

The son of Lester Charles and Gladys Jewelle (Meadows) Ramsey was born April 22, 1932 at Swain, Arkansas.

He was a veteran, serving 2 years in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Deer School District for 38 years as the Agri teacher, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Cassville Baptist Church, where he has served as Deacon for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Deborah Lea Ramsey and an infant daughter; and his brother, Jack Ramsey.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Charlotte Ramsey of the home; 3 sons, Phillip Ramsey and wife Lori of Greers Ferry, AR; Tony Ramsey and wife Elisa of Springdale, AR; Matthew Ramsey and wife Heather of Waycross, GA; 3 daughters, Jewelle Trask and husband Chris of Green Forest, AR; Valerie Cosentino and husband Bob of Cathlamet, WA; Leslie Charlene Wilson and husband, Jim of Joplin, MO; 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, January, 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Chapel in Jasper with Brother Don Mulford officiating and burial at Swain Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Alex Fancher, Chris Trask, Jim Wilson, Brent Ramsey, Bracken Ramsey and Bob Cosentino.

Honorary Pallbearers are his Grandsons and the staff of Hospice of the Hills.

Visitation is Friday January 1, 2016 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
