Charles "Charlie" Kalis, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at home Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the age of 69.
The son of Constantine James and Louise (Tschop) Kalis was born December 20, 1947 in Washington, D.C.
He lived most of his life in this area and graduated Harrison High School in 1966. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a Mason and had worked as an electrician for many years.
Charlie loved his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed scuba diving and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Kalis.
Charlie is survived by two daughters, Martha Pollock and husband Greg of Valley Springs and Becky Kalis of Harrison; three grandchildren, Halley Bowman, Cody Allison and Ava Kalis; two step-grandchildren, Tahlur and Triston Pollock; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Harper Bowman; a brother, Jim Kalis and wife Jeanne of Mt. Vernon, Washington; a sister, Alma Williams of Springfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him and will miss him.
Military Honors and Masonic graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Milam Cemetery in Harrison.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers are Gary Allison, Jimmy Allison, Greg Pollock, Doug Gibson, Vernon Allison and Billy Lowry.
Honorary Pallbearers are the local Shriner's and local Mason's.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
