Obituary

Charles Jay Campbell, age 57 of Vendor, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.

He was born November 24, 1953 at Vendor, Arkansas the son of Jay and Daisy (Riddell) Campbell. He was a lifetime resident of Newton County and had worked at F & H Lumber in Jasper for over 20 years. He was a good, hard working husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing.

He married Marilyn Faught on March 3, 1972 at Vendor, Arkansas.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Johnny, Howard and Kenneth Campbell and an infant brother, Odell Campbell; five sisters, Leanner Dotson Knight, Linda Mae Gunter, Georgia Ann Hoppis, Mary Jane Campbell and infant sister, Patricia Campbell.

Survivors are his wife, Marilyn Campbell of Vendor, Arkansas; two sons, Jason Campbell and Jeremy W. Campbell both of Vendor, Arkansas; two daughters, Stephanie Campbell of Vendor, Arkansas and Kelsey Campbell of Harrison, Arkansas; four brothers, Roy Campbell, Buddy Campbell and Nolan Campbell all of Vendor, Arkansas and Elmer Campbell of Scottsville, Arkansas;
two sisters, Nina Campbell of Vendor, Arkansas and Earlene Watson Clayborn of Swain, Arkansas; four granddaughters, Jessica Campbell Mace of Harrison, Arkansas, Sabrina Campbell, Haley Campbell and Jadeyn Middleton all of Vendor, Arkansas; two grandsons, Kolby Middleton of Vendor, Arkansas and Trevor Mace of Harrison and a great granddaughter, Riley Jae Mace, due in December 2011.

Funeral service was Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Rev. Vernon Fowler officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.
Visitation was Monday, November 7, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Roy Campbell, Jr., Dale Royce, Jr., Shane Campbell, Shannon Campbell, Randy Middleton and Johnny Faught. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and the staff of Hospice of the Hills.
