Charles Franklin Edmondson, age 71 of Jasper, AR, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at his home in Jasper.
The son of Paul and Cleta Berneice (Landrum) Edmondson was born October 9, 1952, in Harrison, AR.
He is preceded in death by his Father and stepmother Paul and Velma Edmondson; his mother and stepfather, Gerald and Berneice Villines; his great-grandson, Haze Dotson, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Charles was a member of the Newton County Baptist Church. He was a Life Scout of the Boy Scouts and was an avid Razorback fan. He was certified in scuba diving and worked as an EMT. He graduated from Jasper High School in 1971 and married Ada on September 30, 1974. He worked at Emerson Electric in Harrison as a Shift Supervisor for 29 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, riding motorcycles, and doting on his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his wife Ada Irene (Beach) Edmondson of Jasper; his son; Paul Edmondson and his wife Marisa of Jasper; his daughters, Tabitha Kolb and her husband Wayne of Marble Falls, AR; Becky Clement and her husband Mike of Jasper, and Crystal Edgmon and her husband Derek of Deer, AR; his grandchildren, Jacob (Natalie) Kolb, Michaela (Charles) Dotson, Brayden Clement, Bailey Kolb, Peyton Kolb, Caleb Kolb, Jackson Kolb, Jesse Edgmon, Lily Edgmon, and Braxton Edmondson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Pastors Rodney Stromlund and Andrew Campbell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Kolb, Michael Clement, Derek Edgmon, Jacob Kolb, Brayden Clement, and Charles Dotson.
Honorary pallbearers are Peyton Kolb, Bailey Kolb, Caleb Kolb, Jackson Kolb, Jesse Edgmon, Lily Edgmon, Michaela Dotson, and Braxton Edmondson.
