Obituary

Celeste Elaine McCutcheon, age 52, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

The daughter of William Buster Yandell and Lona Yandell was born April 4, 1972 in Branson, Missouri. She was a 1990 graduate of Hollister High School. She attended CrossRoads Community Church.

Celeste moved to Harrison about 30 years ago. She met the love of her life, Charlie McCutcheon, and they had their first date on February 14, 1993. Inseparable from day one, they married exactly 7 years later, Valentine's Day 2000.

She was a hard worker from an early age. She took classes studying to become a paralegal while working for a law firm in Harrison. She also worked at Levi's until they closed. Before she retired in June 2018, she worked for Windstream Communications for 21 years. After retiring, she worked with Charlie in the family business, McCutcheon Surveying, Inc.

Celeste loved to be outdoors. She loved jeeping, gardening, mowing, landscaping, and feeding hummingbirds. She also enjoyed CrossFit. She had a huge heart for animals, and loved taking her dogs on adventures, and having her cat by her side comforting her. Her biggest interest was her son Hunter and keeping up with all the things he was involved with. He was her pride and joy, and she was proud of him every day.

Her life and testimony has been one of strength, courage, and optimism no matter what she faced. Celeste always looked on the bright side. She was loyal, tenacious, protective and supportive. Her loving, giving spirit and heart of gold will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Perry and June Groves; an uncle, Richard "Wild Man" Groves; her father and mother-in-law, Carl and Betty McCutcheon; and her precious fur babies, Heidi "The Nanny" and Sadie.

Celeste is survived by her husband, Charlie McCutcheon; her son, Hunter McCutcheon; her mother, Lona Yandell; her father, Buster Yandell; her loyal fur babies that were always by her side, Ginger, Halle, and Sampson; and several extended relatives and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14 (2025) from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
