Cecil Allen Turner, age 83, was born on November 29, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Cecil Ardell Turner and Rheby Louise (Allen) Turner. He passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in Rogers, Arkansas.
Allen graduated from Alpena High School in Alpena, Arkansas, in 1960 and later made his home in Northwest Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the Arkansas National Guard for five years. After years of service, he retired in 2021 from Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
Allen had a deep passion for aviation and earned his pilot’s license, sharing his love of flying with his son and friends. He enjoyed attending The Sheep Shed in Neosho, Missouri, and found joy in cooking, gardening, canning, fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Fredah Mathis (Carroll); his son, Steven L. Turner; and his niece Carolyn Mathis.
Allen is survived by his wife, Virginia Turner; his grandchildren, Joshua Turner and Dessiree Turner; his great-grandson, Brennan Turner; his brother, Roger A. Turner Sr. (Jan); nieces, Tammie Rogers (Ed), Melissa Leal (Shawn), and Robin Edwards (Michael); and nephews, Roger A. Turner Jr. (Tina) and James Mathis.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas, under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.
