Cathie Lenore Barnes, of Harrison, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was 73 years old.

The daughter of Howard and Velma (Hendrix) Hunter was born on February 14, 1948 in Marshall, Arkansas.

Cathie loved being a housewife and a mom and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Joe Criner; and two sons, James and Edwin Barnes.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Howard Barnes; three sons and their wives, Robert and Trish Barnes, William and Shelley Barnes, and Myron and Jessica Barnes; four daughters and their husbands, Lucinda and Don Barnes, Carolyn and Joe Dozler, Rose Barnes, and Terri Barnes; 29 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 5:00 to 7:00 PM

Funeral service will be Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Pastor Leonard Bass will officiate with Leroy Edwards as a speaker. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dalton Barnes, DJ Hayward, Travis Dozler, Josiah Martin, Zachary Sutton, and Cassandara Barnes. Honorary pallbearers include all of her grandchildren.
