Carroll Dwain Ober, age 84 of Deer, AR, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at his home in Deer.

The son of Henry and Lettie (Franks) Ober was born September 2, 1939 in Deer, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, JD, Arch, and Charles Ober; and 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine and Jack Clark and Charlene and Bill Clark.

Carroll was an avid hunter and enjoyed farming. He stayed busy after he retired building many houses in Newton County.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sparks) Ober of Deer; his son Dwain Ober and wife Paula of Clarksville, AR; his daughter, Sabrina Price and husband Tommy of Deer; 5 grandchildren, Jed Price, Jesse Price, Josh Price, Ashley Ober, and Allison Ober; and 7 great-grandchildren, JD Mosley, Gracie Mosley, Bo Mosley, Jordan Price, Jasmin Santiago, Cezar Valenzuela, and Elizabeth Price.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 1, 2023, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Billy Paul Matlock officiating. Burial will follow in Cassville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jed Price, Jesse Price, Josh Price, Scott Liggett, Brian Vaughn, and Dallas Harness.

Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Ober, Allison Ober, Jordan Price, Elizabeth Price, Stuart Harness, and Kenny King.
