Carrol Stoker, age 75, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on December 7, 2022 at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born Carrol Yvonne Martin to E.G. and Theora Martin on June 21, 1947 in Harrison, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carrol graduated valedictorian of her class from Battle Mountain High School in Battle Mountain, Nevada in 1965. She was married to Robert D. (Bobby) Stoker; their love story began on June 6, 1970 in Grubbs, Arkansas. After relocating to Missouri, Carrol and Bobby had three sons: Aaron, David, and Jon. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Columbia, Missouri until a disability forced her to retire. A caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Carrol was admired by all for her kindness, generosity, intelligence, and wisdom. She was known for her love of reading, doing puzzles and trivia, cooking, and spending time with her family. Later in life, Carrol dedicated herself to philanthropy, generously giving to many different charities.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Stoker of Fulton, Missouri; her children, Aaron Stoker (Jennifer), David Stoker, and Jon Stoker (Serena Bailey), also of Fulton; grandson Brandon Stoker (Paige Bethel) of Fulton; sister Elain Younger (Bobby) of St. Joe, Arkansas; brother Eddie Martin (Helen) of St. Joe, Arkansas; sister Laveen Widger (Rod) of Springfield, Missouri; brother Ralph Martin (Mindy) of Dallas, Texas; brother Tommy Martin (Mary Ann) of Lubbock, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by friends and family.
A visitation is scheduled for 10:00 AM on December 12, 2022 at Anderson Flat Church, with funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Anderson Flat Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Heart Association in honor of the deceased.
