Carolyn Sue Barber, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She missed being 75 by only 7 days, passing at age 74.

The daughter of S.C. and Virginia (Robison) Tate was born in Omaha, Arkansas on January 18, 1950.

Carolyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working puzzles and watching old westerns. More than anything, Carolyn loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, S.C. and Virginia Tate; two infant sisters and two infant daughters.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eddie Barber, of the home; four children, Shirley Donnelly and husband Andy of Omaha, AR, Sarah Moore of Omaha, AR, Tommie Barber of Tucker, AR, and Anthony Barber and wife Tabitha of Omaha, AR; five sisters, Connie Matlock (Tyler), Patricia Horn (Donavan), Jane Gilbert (Mack), Charlotte Johnston (Lee), and Brenda Still (George); two brothers, Lonnie Tate (Sharon) and Don Tate (Shannon Joy Hampton); 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation will be at 10 AM, Thursday, January 16, (2025) with the funeral service following at 11 AM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Pastor Johnny Atchison will officiate. Burial will follow at Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Willis Powell, Jayden Barber, Don Tate, Andy Donnelly, Wyatt Barber, Hunter Brantley, and Dylan Hughes.
