With oh so sad hearts we mourn the passing and loss of a great friend, Carole Moore. She passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her home in Jasper, AR.
Carole was a quiet, strong, and stubborn lady. She would help Hounds that were medically and an emotional wreck and transport them halfway across the country to its perfect forever home.
All we ever had to do was pick up the phone call and say hey we need you! Next, Carole would say when are we leaving?
Carole and Leslie never hesitated to answer the call or even foster themselves but we all know once in their home they generally never left.
They hosted many an event for South Central, tracking and trailing by far the biggest. Inviting so many new and old to the breed, all were welcome in their home! Carole was a great judge of character and we never failed to listen to her instinct. The first adoption event she attended was with a coonhound named Rocky. All of the inquiries for Rocky that day would have never made the cut and she left with him in tow, claiming no one would ever be good enough, with Carole he stayed until he passed away last year. We could tell you so much about Carole Moore along with some great stories.
The one thing we would like to convey with her passing is that we lost a great friend, advocate of the breed, and a champion in the world of rescue today.
Our sincerest condolences for Leslie and their hounds as with us her world has forever changed.
Carole will be forever in our hearts, our memories and we take comfort in knowing she is taking care of our babies over the bridge.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerrell T. and Dorothy Moore.
Carole is survived by her spouse, Leslie Wigley of Jasper; her brother Tim Moore and his wife Brenda of TX.; and her sisters, Linda Plant and husband Gary of OK, and Sherry Hastings and husband Ollie of TX.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper, AR.
