Obituary
Carol Irene Robertson, age 73 of Jasper, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper.
She was born July 1, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Victor and Viola (Boniker) Hudson. She was a homemaker and had worked at Angel Works in Jasper. She attended Special Services School and the Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church.
Carol had lived most of her life in Newton County. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Strawhacker; four brothers, Guy, Harry, Marvin, and Jim; and a sister, Myrtle Poyner.
Survivors are her children, Charles Lee Strawhacker of Jasper & Vic, David, Ralph, Dorothy, and Katherine. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was open during business hours Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services were Friday, August 21, 2009 at Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church with Brother Raymond White officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Sherman Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Gash, Dorvin Poyner, Jether Raney, Quentin Rylee, Greg Lackey, and Jadon Malotte.
Honorary pallbearers were staff and residents of the Newton County Nursing Home and the staff and clients of Newton County Special Services.
