Carol Baughman, of Harrison, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.  She was 85 years old.

The daughter of Walter Otto and Erna Elizabeth (Wesche) Wienert was born on December 13, 1937 in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Carol was a graduate of Valley Springs High School.  She married Glenn Everett Baughman on October 12, 1956.  Carol worked at the Boone County Hospital and co-owned and operated W.E.E. Discount Furniture with her husband.  In her spare time, she loved reading books and doing crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lois Wienert, Anne King, and Joan Mathis; and one brother, Bud Wienert.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Glenn Baughman; one daughter, Kim (Darell) Brooks; one brother, Bob (Ora) Wienert; brother-in-law, Lee Baughman; sisters-in-law, Duveen Norton and Karen (Ronnie) Moore; very special friend, Trish Baloun; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at the Claude Parrish Cancer Center, The Springs of Harrison and the ICU nurses and staff at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

A memorial visitation will be held at a later date.
