Carl Loy Smith, age 84 of Harrison, passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
The son of Albert J. and Nora (Casey) Smith, he was born July 10, 1925 at Parthenon, Arkansas.
He lived in this area most of his life and served during WWII in the U.S.Army. He retired from Claridge Products and was a member of Restoration Life Fellowship. Carl enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva Mae (Fowler) Smith; three sisters, Louise, Fern and an infant.
Survivors include his son, Tim Smith and wife, Elaine of Harrison; his daughter, Jeanine Wilson and husband, Mike of Harrison; two brothers, Jack and Jim Smith; five sisters, Lottie Richmond, Nella Cepada, Ruby Hammonds, Ruth Stewart, and Glenna Essex; 3 grandchildren, Jeanie Daniels, Kiley Smith, and Jordon Smith; 7 great grandchildren, Nathaniel Rudd, D.J., Courtney, Madison, and Michael Daniels, Aiden and Sophie Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 PM and the service is Saturday, 10:00 AM both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery at Parthenon. Tim Smith and Jeanine Wilson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Jordon and Kiley Smith, Nathaniel Rudd, Michael James Daniels, Tim Smith, Mike Wilson, and James Daniels.
Honorary pallbearers are the men of Restoration Life Fellowship.
