Carl H. Kressman, age 65 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 in Harrison.

The son of Nicholas and Marie (Lang) Kressman was born March 9, 1945 in Chicago, Illinios.

He was a 1966 graduate of the University of Ilinois with a degree in chemistry. He had worked for Sherwin-Williams Company and held at least 2 patents. In 1980 he moved from Long Beach, California to Harrison where he and his wife taught music at The Dance and Music Center. For the last 17 years he and his family have owned and operated Nature's Wonders Health Food Store.

Carl particularly enjoyed sacred music and played a number of musical instruments including piano, violin, and the hammered dulcimer. His interest in nature and the planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers gave him great pleasure.

Carl's devotion and faith in Jesus was a witness to all who knew him. The love and caring he showed his wife, family, and friends will be greatly missed by them.

His father and mother preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Bethene Kressman of the home; his step-son, Frank Rost of Harrison; his grandson, Christopher Rost and wife, Michelle of Harrison; his sister, Lorraine and husband, William Robb of Munster, Indiana; his niece, Melissa and husband, Chad Borner of Crown Point, Indiana; two grand-nephews, Jake Borner and Logan Borner of Crown Point, Indiana; and family friend, Linda Rost of Harrison.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.

There was a memorial service Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewey McGarrah officiating.
