Carl Dodson, age 73 of Deer, AR passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born mary 11, 1932 at Mt. Judea, AR a son of Marland and Mary (Smith) Dodson. He lived most of his life in Newton County and was a member of Falling Water Full Gospel Church, where he had been a Deacon for over 20 years. He also worked in the construction business a bull dozer operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Dodson; a grandson, Gabriel Humphrey; a daughter-in-law, Cara Dodson; a sister, Hildred Light; and a brother, Ernest Dodson.

Survivors are his wife, Perilla (Breedlove) Dodson of the home; children and their spouses, Gail and Wade Roberts and Rick and Sandy Dodson all of Harrison, Mike and Amy Dodson of Dover, Donna and Charlie Rocole of Deer, Connie and Lionel Humphrey of Witts Springs, Robert and Linda Dodson of Jasper, and Julie and Paul Chisum and Aaron and Beth Dodson all of Dover; sisters and brothers, Mildred Heffley of Pelsor, Faye Nichols of Dover, Loretta Jeffries of Pelsor, Linda Nunn of Indpendence, MO, Guy Dotson of Kansas City, MO, Arlos Dotson of Dover, and Harvey Dotson of Kansas City, MO; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Standridge of Dover; thirty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carl Dodson were held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, march 17 at Falling Water Church and Bro. Lester Chisum and Bro. Bob Chisum officiating. Burial was in Deer Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Heydenreich and his other granchildren. Visitation was 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.
