Calmus Peter Campbell, age 84 of Mt. Judea, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home.

The son of Roosevelt and Emma Jane (Riddell) Campbell was born on September 15, 1930 at Vendor, Arkansas.

He was a farmer, head sawyer and timber cutter. He was a lifetime resident of Newton County. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Calmus was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Dorvin Campbell and Norman Campbell; two sisters Nancy Ricketts and Pauline Dotson; a son Doyal Ray Campbell; two grandchildren Melissa Faye Campbell and Clyde Humphrey and four great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dominick, Shaylin and Koale.

Survivors are his wife Gelene (Dotson) Campbell of the home; one son Dairl Wayne and Carolyn Campbell of Deer; four daughters Doris and Rene Ainley of Clarksville, Ruthie and Glen Middleton of Western Grove, Shirley and Robert Humphrey of Lurton and Donna Sue and Shaunie Reddell of Piercetown ; a daughter-in-law Donnie Faye Campbell of Mt. Judea; one brother Robert and Annie Campbell of Mt. Judea; two sisters Charlene Bolin of Hasty and Louise and Stanley Rocole of Harrison; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends, including family friends Chuck Pridmore and Donald Richardson.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bro. Jimmy Bohannon officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were grandsons Harley, Shannon, Chancy, Kelis, Trance, Curt, Rodney, Jessie, Randy, Clint and Arlis. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters Christi, Vanessa, Crystal, Serena, Kayla and Michell and all his great-grandchildren.
