Burnis Beal Fisk, of St. Joe, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the age of 86.
The daughter of Tom and Pearlie (Delk) Erwin was born January 26, 1930 at Gilbert, Arkansas.
Burnis Beal was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Joe and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Marshall and St. Joe Chapter. She worked for 25 years at Oberman's-Levi's, she continued to be a hard worker even in retirement. She never complained or let anything slow her down. She loved to travel, and completed her visit to all 50 states 2 years ago when she traveled to Alaska with her daughters. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, E.G. Erwin and her baby sister, Marcelee Haley on February 28, 2016; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Fisk.
Burnis Beal is survived by her husband of 69 years, Benoya Fisk of the home; 2 sons, Billy and wife Rita of St. Joe, AR; Tommy Fisk of St. Joe, AR; 2 daughters, Carolyn Loggins of St. Joe, AR; Pat Martin and husband Larry of Omaha, AR; a sister, Jewel Weaver of Salina, OK; a brother-in-law, Joe Haley of Salina, OK: 10 grandchildren, Joel and Brian Loggins, Craig Loggins and wife Tammy; Amanda Hensley and husband Gabe, Ashley Ragland and husband Clint, Alyssa Farmer and husband Jeff, Todd Martin, Tracy Grinder and husband Matthew, Erica Breedlove and husband Landon, Steven Kyle Fisk; 12 great grandchildren, Jacob, Paige, Anthony, Hannah, Dason, Kylee, Kenley, Emma Kate, Brantley, Reese, Ross, Caleb and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Services will be Friday, March 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Joey Reed and Bro. James Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at Nichols Cemetery in Pindall, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 24 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews.
