Bretta Sue Grusing-Read, 51, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Jasper, Arkansas.

Bretta was born August 8, 1970, in Harrison, AR to Bonnie Grusing and the late William Grusing.  Bretta attended Western Grove schools in elementary.  Her middle and high school years she attended Jasper schools where she graduated in 1988.   She later attended College of Ozarks in Hollister, MO where she worked toward a Criminal Justice degree.

Bretta married Brendan Read on June 7, 2008.  The couple lived in Harrison with their cats and dogs.  Bretta loved her animals.

Bretta is survived by her husband: Brendan Read, step daughter: Destinaey England, niece: Lori Parrish, her mother: Bonnie (Ace) Grusing-Downes, her brothers: Brent (Mindy) Grusing, Christopher Grusing.  She was preceded in death by her father William Grusing.
