Brenda Joyce Lipscomb, age 60 passed away at her home in Lead Hill, AR on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

She was born July 14, 1947 at Crowley, Louisiana, the daughter of Ove Joseph and Hilda Mae (Sittig) Toups.

Brenda had lived in Lead Hill since 1984, moving there from Dickinson, Texas. She was an entrepreneur and started the Lead Hill Feed Store business which she and her husband owned and operated for 15 years. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, traveling, playing all types of games, especially bingo and was very involved in community activities.

Brenda will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to many people.

Her parents preceded her in death along with one brother, Lewis Toups.

Survivors include her husband, James Lipscomb of the home; one son, Duane Lipscomb of League City, Texas; three daughters, Wendy Schnell of Pasadena, TX, Deborah Harrold of Durham, N.C., and Leigh Ann Kirk of Greensboro, AL; brothers, Jimmy Toups and Ed Toups, both of Texas, and Ronnie Toups of Diamond City; sister, Jeanie Bond of Texas; and grandchildren, Miranda, Billy, Thomas, Sean, "Alex"andria, Mary Annsleigh, Matthew, and Haleigh.

Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday, May 16, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with services at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Coffman Chapel. Carroll Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Foresee Cemetery at Lead Hill. Pallbearers are Thomas McConathy, Billy McConathy, Sean Hardman, Bill Burleson, Corey Burleson, and Bub Burleson. Honorary pallbearers are Missy Johnson, Karen Walton, Missie Staggs, the late Mertie Newman, Sibyl Carter, Don Foresee, and Kenny and Judy Hardman.
