Brenda Marie Hopper, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was 72 years old.

The daughter of Irvin and Inez (DeVore) Rickel was born on April 4, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Brenda graduated from Bergman High School in 1967 and shortly after married Carl Hopper on June 2, 1967. She was a member of the Lonestar Full Gospel Church in Bergman. Brenda enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She retired from FedEx after 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who adored all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a half-brother, Russell DeVore.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Carl Hopper, of the home; one son, Carl Michael Hopper, of Harrison; one daughter and her husband, Carla and Danny Farmer, of Bergman; one granddaughter and her husband, Amber and Eric Parker, and their son, Beckett, all of Springfield, MO; one brother and his wife, G.W. and Colleen Rickel, of Bergman; four sisters, Martha Leach and husband, Lawrence, of Harrison, Joy Flat, of Western Grove, Ruth Ann Gibson, of Green Forest, and Bonnie Nelson, of Bergman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation is Friday, November 12, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 5:00 to 7:00 PM

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Pastor Frank Whiteside will officiate. Burial will be in York Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kenny Gibson, Ricky Nelson, David Leach, Colin Eaton, Jason Rickel, and Ashton Nelson. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Rickel and Eric Parker.
