Bradley Alan Burkert, age 54 of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
The son of Robert and Mary Jane (Paff) Burkert, he was born October 14, 1954 in Reading, Pennsylvania.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his first wife, Christine Burkert.
Brad had lived in St. Joe, Arkansas for six years and most recently in Yellville, Arkansas. He moved to the area from Pennsylvania. He enjoyed woodworking and woodcarving and was a general contractor and carpenter in finish work. Spending time in the outdoors, sports, gardening and photography were things he enjoyed as hobbies.
Brad was a kind hearted, generous man. He brought joy and laughter into the hearts of many with his delightful sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
His survivors are his wife, Shirley (Bandy) Burkert of the home; son, Tom Burkert and his wife, Heather of Pennsylvania; daughter, Jessie Barber and her husband, Josh of Fair Dealing, Missouri; brothers, Lynn Burkert and his fiancee', Anita, and Perry Burkert and his wife, Shelly, all of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Brennon Barber, Autumn Barber, and Mayra Burkert; one niece; two nephews; and two great nieces.
Visitation was Thursday, October 23, 2008 with service Friday, October 24, 2008, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Robert Wyatt and Tom Brown officiated. Burial followed in Love Cemetery at St. Joe, Arkansas. Pallbearers were Roy Eddings, Junior Eddings, Kurt Pauls, Mark Sturgeon, Charlie Verhegghe, and Chris Wyatt.
