Boyd Campbell, of St. Joe, passed from this life on Earth to go be with the Lord Jesus, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Highland Court Health & Rehab Center in Marshall. He was 92 years old.
The son of Wade and Bertie (Scott) Campbell was born on September 30, 1928 in Marsena, Arkansas.
Boyd spent the last few years back in Arkansas after the death of his wife, Alene. Together they would visit nursing homes to sing and play guitar, which they loved to do.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alene (Johnson) Campbell; one son, Tony McGlothlin; and two brothers, Lee and Henley Campbell.
Survivors include one son, Jim B. Campbell and his wife, Floella; one daughter, Connie Gail (Campbell) Baker and husband, Rick; four grandsons, Joel and Daniel Campbell & Rocky and Jacob Kyle Baker; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Campbell; one sister, Mary Lou Patterson and husband, Jerry; four brothers, Troy Campbell, Doise Campbell and wife, Linda, Vernice Campbell and wife, Mary, and Willard Campbell and wife, Francis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends that will miss him very much.
He has gone home to be with Jesus who he loved and served faithfully.
Visitation is Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 2:00 to 4:00 PM
Funeral service is Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joe First Baptist Church. Pastor John Eslinger will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joel Campbell, Daniel Campbell, Jacob Kyle Baker, Rick Baker, Randy Campbell and Bill Tidmore.
