Bonnie Ruth Brasel, age 82 of Ozark, MO passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

The daughter of Chester Vernon and Belle (Begley) Fowler was born December 17, 1942, on Cave Mountain, AR in Newton County.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Bonnie was a member of the Ozark Family Church in Ozark, MO.  She graduated from Jasper High School in 1960 and was a Kiwanis member for many years.  She also worked as a secretary at the Department of Human Services in Jasper.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard Brasel of Ozark, MO; sons, Brad Brasel (Susan) of Glendale, AZ and Russell Brasel (Michelle) of Tampa, FL; daughters, Leigh Ann Hubbell (Christopher) of Rogers, AR, brother, Vernon Fowler (Judy) of Jasper, AR; sisters, Betty James (Gerald) of Jasper, AR and Oleta Hughes (Wayne) of Jasper, AR; 2 grandchildren, Molly and C.J.; her close friends, Carolyn Bailey, Kay House, and Dorothy Brawley; and finally her beloved Kit Kat.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2025, at The Assembly of God Church in Jasper, AR with Reverend Craig Villines officiating. Music will be provided by Garrett Davidson and David Latimer. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday before the service.

Pallbearers will be Denton James, Grant Fowler, Clint Fowler, Chris Hubbell, Kevin Villines, Jim Randy Laverty, Brent Edgmon, and Stacey Clark.

Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Shields, Steve Hicks, John Hillary Jones, David James, Delton Edgmon, Evan Villines, Peyton Clark, Dawson Hicks, Sawyer Shields, Ryan Jones, Jackson Clark, Wyatt Villines, Cole Villines, Trayson Hicks, Turner Fowler, Huston Davidson, Timber Laverty, and CJ Hubbell, and all her nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jasper Cemetery Association, PO Box 736, Jasper, AR 72641.
