Valley Springs

Obituary

Bobby Carl Woodell, age 67, of Valley Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The son of Stonewall Jackson "Jack" Woodell and Alma (Villines) Woodell was born in Harrison, Arkansas on May 13, 1959. He was a graduate of Valley Springs High School and a longtime member of Olvey Bible Church.

Bobby loved to run his hunting dogs and going rabbit hunting and deer hunting. He especially enjoyed spending hunting time with his daughter and granddaughters. He was so excited they had taken an interest in hunting and looked forward to every outing.

He was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family meant everything to him, and he loved to spend time with them. Bobby taught them to be strong, to persevere, and to survive even the most difficult times. They are determined to honor his memory and the lessons he left by doing just that.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Alma Woodell; his son, Carl Woodell; three brothers, Glen Woodell, Ray Woodell, and Howard Woodell; five sisters, Mildred Bauer, Edith Duck, Barbara Furton, Freda Simpson, and Ruth Saunders.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha (Bohannan) Woodell of the home; his daughter, Melissa Woodell and fiancée, Shane Campbell of Everton; two granddaughters, Sky Woodell and Lucy Woodell; two great-granddaughters, Sicily and Auriel Cowan; three sisters, Sue Ewing and husband Phillip of Harrison, Faye Martin and husband Ronnie of Vendor, and Jackie Smith of Valley Springs; a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
