Bobby Ray May, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Mount Vista Rehab and Health Center at the age of 82.

The son of Earnest and Bessie (Newberry) May was born October 1, 1935 in Hilltop, Arkansas.

Bobby was a resident of this area most of his life working as a carpenter and lumber grader. He worked at Flexsteel and Cloud and was also a farmer. He loved to play guitar and sing. He loved the Lord and his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 43 years, Ella May, a daughter, Kathy Smith, two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors are his sons, Jimmy May and wife Tana of Harrison and Richard May of Bella Vista; a step-son, Charles Harmon of Harrison; two step-daughters, Juanita Alexander of Harrison and Joyce Kay of Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a very special friend, Glenda Greenhaw, and many other loved ones and friends who will miss him.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Justin Villines officiating. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Neal May, Brandon Harmon, Andrew Allison, Jacky Greenhaw, Randy Greenhaw, Mark Greenhaw and Brent Greenhaw.
