Obituary
Laminda B. "Bobbie" Mapes, age 90 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison.
She was born April 14, 1923 in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas.
She was a Pastor, having pastored the Light of Christ Church for over 51 years. She was also instrumental in starting churches all over the United States.
She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, Sarah Smith; her husband, Robert D. Mapes, Sr.; nine sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors are her children, Robert Mapes and wife, Debbie of Harrison, Brenda Ake and husband, Ira of Harrison, Janis Davis and husband, John of Pennsylvania, and Carol Walters and husband, John of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday, January 8, 2014 with the service Thursday, January 9, 2014, both at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Bro. Jethey Henson officiated.
Burial followed in White Church Cemetery with pallbearers being Jac Ake, Marc Blacksher, Scott Cotham, John Davis, Kim Rader, and Sean Rader.
