Bob Padfield, age 82 of Harrison, spent his last moments of life at Tucker Hollow Campground and was brought to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced as passed on Sunday, June 21, 2009.
The son of Gilbert W. and Orilla M. (Walters) Padfield, he was born September 23, 1926 at Kingman, Kansas.
He had lived here since 1955 moving from Colorado. Bob was a Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church. He worked at Duncan Industry for 10 years, also did carpentry work and road construction while raising his family. He also was a pullet grower for Tyson Foods since 1986.
After retiring, he enjoyed camping and being a "commercial fisherman" , as he would say. A special time to him was spending time with his family and friends.
His parents; one sister, Harriet Wall and an infant son all preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Padfield of the home; one son and his wife, Gordon and Angie Padfield of Harrison; three daughters and spouses, Brenda and Mike Patton of Harrison, Janet and Mike Alquist of K. C., Mo, and Wanda and Rocky Friend of Harrison; one sister, Patty Grisham of Springfield, MO; nine grandchildren, Holly Becker, Scotty Patton, Heather Hudkins, Eric Friend, Amy Hagler, Amanda Woodworth, Ryan Alquist, Andrea Padfield, Megan Alquist; 10 great grandchildren, Hannah, Annie, Dalton, Quiency, Jaci, Dixon, Dylan, Harley, Jess, Kylie, and two more on the way; also his stock dog, "Bucky".
Visitation was Tuesday, with service Wednesday, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrson. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery with Dr. Larry Keener, speaking.
Pallbearers were Scotty Patton, Eric Friend, Ryan Alquist, Eric Hudkins, Doug Becker, Jason Hagler, Lance Woodworth, and Travis Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Patton, Mike Alquist, Rocky Friend, his fishing buddies at Tucker Hollow and a bounty of dear friends.
