Bob J. Baker, age 76 of St. Joe, Arkansas departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2008.

The son of Frank and Ruby (Nix) Baker, he was born March 11, 1932 near Gilbert, Arkansas.

He was retired and had worked at Ozark Timber and Treating Company.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola (Hall) Baker; and one nephew, David Dial.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Baker and one son, Robert Baker, both of St. Joe; three sisters, Carol Wyatt and Marian Dial, both of St. Joe, and Ruth McAlister of California; one brother, Jimmy Baker of Texas; several nieces and nephews; and one very special great nephew, Heath Turney who was not only a great nephew, but also a good buddy who loved his Uncle Bob a great deal.

Bob loved going to the races and car auctions with his close friend, Ben White. He also enjoyed working on cars and was always willing to help anyone in need.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Bob is with his loved ones who have gone on before him, so it isn't "Goodbye", it's "See you later".

Cremation and arrangements have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

There was a memorial graveside service held Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Osborne Cemetery in St. Joe.
