Obituary
Birgit D. Cooper, 56 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Saint Elisabeth Hospital in Rodalben, Germany.
The daughter of Werner Munk and Gertrud Finzel was born October 24, 1955 in Bad Cannstatt, Germany.
Birgit was a proud military mom and an active Army wife who was recognized by the Commanding General of Fort Sill, OK for her dedicated support to the Family Readiness group.
She was preceded in death by her mother and is survived by her husband, Harold (Bert) Cooper, Jr; her sons, Tobias Cooper of Amarillo, TX and Kevin Cooper and wife, Brittney of Omaha, NE; sisters, Elke Hanson of Clarksville, TN, Silvia Bender of Newport News, VA and Andrea Walker of Waynesville, MO and her grandson, Brody Cooper.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR. Burial will follow at the Jasper Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute in her memory to the Children's Miracle Network, 3525 S. National, Suite 203, Springfield, MO 65807.
