Billy Gene Willis, 77, of Deer, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

The son of Vernis and Gerene (Snow) Willis was born September 15, 1940.

After graduating from Deer High School, Bill moved to Kansas City where he worked as a crane operator for Lockjoint Pipe Company.  He next worked for Western Trailer Service as a repairman, then as a shop foreman for Chisam Trailer, all in Kansas City, Kansas.

Bill returned to Newton County in 1988.  He was an active member of Church in the Valley at Murray, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Darlis Garrison and Tennie Ray and a brother, Mitchell Willis.

Survivors are his sisters, Sue (Ronnie) Brown and Marilyn Willis of Deer; his daughter, Kim (Ben) Gear of Olathe, KS; his sons, Monte (Lisa) Willis of Deer and Michael (Leah) Willis of Harrison; grandsons, Quentin (Alex) Willis, Brandon (Melissa) Willis, Waylon Willis and Wyatt Willis, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bro. Charlie Jamison officiating.  Burial will follow at Snow Cemetery at Wayton.

Pallbearers are Quentin Willis, Brandon Willis, Waylon Willis, Wyatt Willis, Keith Brown and Kaleb Brown.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 31 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Jasper.
