IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Don
Easter
July 25, 1950 – January 12, 2025
Billy Don Easter, age 74, of Bass, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.
The son of Rex and Virgie (Dodson) Easter was born July 25, 1950 in Harrison, Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of Newton County and a member of the Church of Christ. Billy was a 1968 graduate of Mt. Judea High School.
Billy retired from Wabash Wood Products after working there for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking and building things in his free time. In his younger years, he liked to go fishing.
Billy genuinely enjoyed using Facebook as a tool to connect to friends and family near and far. His daily morning and good night greetings and uplifting posts will be missed by all those who interacted with him on social media. He was a gifted storyteller and loved to reminisce about his childhood. He also thought himself as quite the comedian and self-titled "Baldknobber" with his jokes and ability to make silly faces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Easter, his mother and stepfather, Virgie and Ted Coonts; his wife, Linda Morris Easter; his son, Bradley Don Easter; a brother, Charles Easter; and a brother-in-law, Jim Richey.
Billy is survived by two sisters, Ann (Albert) Henson of Dardanelle and Sandra Richey of Hector; a brother, Larry Easter of Bass; and his fiancée, Mary Ricketts Gentry of Omaha and her family that he loved like his own. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends that loved him and will miss him.
Visitation will be at 10 AM, Friday, January 17, (2025) with the funeral service following at 11 AM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Marc Arnold and Todd Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Randy Hendrix, Kevin Henson, Sheila Travis, Deanna Bohanan, Tim Travis, and Dale Tennison.
