Billy Buren Boswell, age 71 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was born March 20, 1942 in Floral, Arkansas to Arthur and Pearl (Brown) Boswell.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Billy moved to Newton County thirty-five years ago from Floral, Arkansas,
and he had worked for Freshour Construction Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Clella Ann Boswell and Laureen Williams and one brother, Perry Boswell.
Survivors are his wife, Carolyn (Kilgore) Boswell of Jasper, Arkansas; two sons, Tim Boswell and Becky Smith of Jasper, Arkansas and Shawn and Shelly Vaughan of Jasper, Arkansas; three daughters, Sherry Boswell of Cushman, Arkansas, Shelly Boswell and Jimmy Shields of Bergman, Arkansas, and Dawn and Mark Shoemake of Jasper, Arkansas; one brother, Johnny and Toby Boswell of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; two sisters, Ida White of Cabot, Arkansas and Carol and Danny Thomason of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; the mother of his children, Charline Boswell of Cushman, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Morgan Vaughan, Staci Vaughan, Colby Crosswhite, Savannah Covey, Jayden Boswell, Ashlynn Boswell, and Hannah Smith; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Ryanne Freeman; and many other family and friends.
Memorial services for Billy was Monday, March 17, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with John Boswell and James Compton officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Keith Ramsey, Alan Phillips, Charlie Parker, Tim Snyder, Rocky Mathis and Jerry Breedlove. Honorary pallbearers are nieces, nephews, staff of Hospice of the Hills, Dr. Justice and staff of Newton County Family Practice.
