IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Joe
(Bj) Jones
January 15, 1941 – November 2, 2022
Billy Joe (BJ) Jones, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away November 2, 2022, at Autumn Hill Nursing Home in Berryville, at the age of 81 and a half years old...the fact of which he was proud.
He was born January 15, 1941, at Cloverdale, Arkansas. He was the son of Cuspert Jones and Jessie (Williams) Jones Raines.
Billy Joe was preceded in death by his father, Cuspert Jones, stepfather, Herbert Raines, mother, Jessie Jones Raines, an infant brother and an infant son.
Billy Joe is survived by his wife of 20 years, Monica Jones; children, Tony and Jeanette Jones, Tom and Pam Jones, Angel and Mike Goodman, Ronnie and Marianne Jones, and Rodney and Stephanie Jones; two stepdaughters, Francine Youngblood and Seana Crow; thirteen grandchildren, La Rae, Terik, Bobbi, Jenna, Mandy, Jessica, Caleb, Josiah, Elizabeth, Molly, Reed, Leigha, and Levi; eleven great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Billy Joe (BJ) worked hard at different things in his life. The most memorable was driving that Yellow Freight truck, he was always waving and blowing the horn to let you know he saw you. He was quite the people person, never meeting a stranger...just a friend he hadn't met yet. He enjoyed his retirement; he made time every day to go to the diner for coffee and the latest news.
Services will be held at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison on Tuesday, November 8, at 2 PM with Pastor Mike Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Omaha Methodist Cemetery.
Open visitation will be Monday from Noon until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are grandsons: Caleb Goodman, Terik Jones, Josiah Goodman, Levi Jones, and brothers-in-law: Glen Parker and Will Robbins. Honorary pallbearers are Reed Jones and John Robbins.
