Billie "Bill" D. Carter, age 92 of Deer, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper, Arkansas.
The son of John W. and Ada (Hickman) Carter was born July 15, 1921 at Parthenon.
Bill was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and spent most of his life in Newton County. He made many friends and was liked by most who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evon (Campbell) Carter; a sister, Frankie Ramsey and husband Pete; brothers, Joe Carter, Leon Carter, Don Carter and wife, Lois, Jack Carter, and Jim Carter and wife, Marge.
Survivors are his sisters-in-law, Wilma (Shelton) Carter, Beatrice (Ramsey) Carter and Joan (Sarver) Carter; step-daughter, Billie Marie Kilgore; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, December 23, 2013 with the service Tuesday, December 24, 2013, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Bro. Lonnie Burks will officiate.
Pallbearers were be Lytle James, W.J. Villines, Kirby Carlton, Ricky Kilburn, John D. Phillips, and Roy Carter.
Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery at Parthenon.
