Obituary

Bill O. Watts, age 80 of Harrison, Arkanss passed away October 28, 2011 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Ott and Mary (Hensley) Watts was born October 16, 1931 in Searcy County, Arkansas.

Bill O. was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church having served as a trustee on the church board. He graduated from Harrison High School where he was active in FFA and a member of Harrison football and track teams. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, 936th Field Artillery, having served 20 months in Korea.

He was with the Security Bank for 25 years as a field representative and loan officer; also, a real esate broker. His main interests were in cattle and farming operations and was active in that capacity until his death. He recently recieved the Boone County Senior Farmer of the Year award.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and floating the Buffalo River with his family and friends. He loved his family and spent many enjoyable years working together on the farm. He especially loved being a PaPa to his three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jane (Laffoon) Watts of Harrison; his son, Mike Watts and wife Deanne of Harrison; his daughter, Cheryl Watts of Harrison; his brother, Bob J. Watts and wife Betty of Harrison; his grandchildren, Madison Bryant and Wyatt Bryant and Makala Watts all of Harrison.

Visitation was Monday, October 31, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Funeral service was Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Faith Assembly of God Church in Harrison with Reverend Arlis Thrasher officiating. Burial followed in White Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John R. Watts, John Robinson, Tim Laffoon, Steven Hensley, David Hensley, and Perry Hensley. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Barber, Rex Brasel, Jim Carlton, Gary Carlton, Jess Davis, Wes Hudson, Roger Moon, Claude Smith, Phil Travis, Buddy Trotter, Reese Woods, Van Younes, and the staff of Western Sizzlin.
