Obituary

Bill B. Cooper, age 76 of Deer, AR passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at his home.

The son of Russell L. and Sylvia Irene (Boomer) Cooper was born June 10, 1931 at Deer, AR.

He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Deer Volunteer Fire Department, and had been a lifelong resident of Newton County. He was also a farmer.

His parents preceded him in death, along with a brother, Jim L. Cooper, and a sister, Lillian Hallum.

Survivors include his wife, Lela C. (Taylor) Cooper of the home; his sons, John Kirby Cooper of Goshen, AR and Phillip D. Cooper of Deer; his daughter, Elizabeth Jane Spring of Holthem, TX; a brother, Conley C. Cooper of Deer; a sister, Hazel R. Brown of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Service 10 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Deer Gym with David Faught and Vernon Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Deer Cemetery. Pallbearers are his nephews and great nephews, Melvin Brown, David Brown, Mike Hallum, Rex Cooper, Kylan Cooper, and Kevin Spradley. Honorary pallbearers include David Cooper, Jimmy Cooper, Joe Cowell, Rex Hallum, Lynn Spradley, Charlie Curtis, and Johnny Bohannon.
