Betty L. Roberts, 83, of Batavia, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Eli and Lottie (Camp) Cassity was born in Tuskegee, Oklahoma on November 11, 1934.
Betty has been a resident of Batavia since 1953 moving here from Wichita, Kansas. She has been a member of Miracle Lighthouse Church for 49 years. She loved to work puzzles, crochet, and sing. She was an excellent pianist, playing piano for many years. Betty worked over 40 years as a floral assistant, for Sisters Flower Shop and Caspian Flower Shop.
She always put the needs of others first. She loved her family and was a praying wife and mother, spending many days and nights in prayer for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers, Junior, Jerry, Melvin and Jimmy Cassity.
Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Elmo Roberts; 4 sons, Phillip (Jannie) Roberts, Marvin (Deedera) Roberts, Tommy (Judy) Roberts, Bryan (Laura) Roberts; 2 daughters, LaVerne (Terry) Widner and LaVonne (Dennis) Nichols; a brother, Larry Cassity of KS; 3 sisters, Mona Turner of KS, Willa Dean Braten of AR and Helen (Dwight) Moore of OK; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and her Miracle Lighthouse Church family, Caspian Flower & Gift employees and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 2, 2018 at Miracle Lighthouse Church with Rev. Arvin Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Gass Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers are Trenton Widner, Trey Roberts, Kevin Nichols, Shaun Roberts, Avery Roberts, and Tate Roberts.
Honorary Pallbearers are Drew Roberts, Garrett Roberts, Amber Roberts, Amanda Wyatt, Bridget Arnold, Bryan Arnold, Cort Roberts, Alyza Roberts, Myla Roberts, Tricia Spears and Thia Harp; and Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Hills, Beacon Park Productions, or the charity of your choice.
