Betty Jean Honer, 86 of Bergman, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in Harrison.

The daughter of Jesse and Earsel (Blackman) Manley was born January 21, 1934 at East St. Louis, Illinois. She moved to Boone County 44 years ago from Belleville, Illinois.

Betty worked as a telephone operator for over 50 years in Illinois and Arkansas. After retiring, she continued to work as a hostess at Western Sizzlin until her health no longer permitted.

She loved to go 2-stepping and going to shows in Branson. She loved her country music stars and Elvis. Betty was outgoing, never meeting a stranger. She was giving, never wanting anyone to go without.

Betty loved life and her family, and her family loved her beyond measure. She will be surely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death her husband, Arthur Thomas Honer; her mother and father, Earsel and Jesse Manley; her brother, James Earl Manley; her daughter-in-law, Nancy (Kolb) Honer and her mother-in-law, Theresa (Fields) Honer.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol Honer Davis; her son, Thomas Honer and wife Jenny all of Harrison; her sister, Shirley Hrabusicky of Bellville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Brandon Honer and wife Meagan, Clayton Honer and wife Becca, and Tate Honer, all of Harrison; two step-grandchildren, Allison Lawson and Andy Lawson of Harrison; two great grandchildren, Paislee Honer and Callen Honer; her nieces and nephews, Debi Beaird, Nick Nastoff, Chris Nastoff, John Paul Hrabusicky, Vicky Miller, Steven Manley, Dennis Manley and David Manley and many friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2020 at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill with Pastor Rodney Stromlund officiating.

Pallbearers are Thomas Honer, Brandon Honer, Clayton Honer, Tate Honer, Jeff Atkinson and Andy Lawson.

Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews.
