Betty Ann Blackwell (Harrison) Erwin, age 89 of Hill Top, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

The daughter of Noel and Christina (Daniel) Blackwell was born September 9, 1932 in Harrison, Arkansas.  She was a resident of Arkansas her whole life and attended Hilltop Church of Christ.

Betty began working for the US Postal Service in the early 1970's in Jasper as well as Harrison, Dogpatch and Pruitt, where she was the last Officer in Charge before it closed.  She became a Post Master in 1984 in Ola, Arkansas and ultimately retired from the Postal Service in 1992.

She enjoyed raising horses, quilting, collecting plates and art.  She loved gardening and planting flowers, and her beloved dog, Blossom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pat Dixon and brother, Jimmy Blackwell and a great granddaughter, Jayden Alexis Harrison.

Betty is survived by her husband, Raymond Brian Erwin; children, Butch Harrison (Colleen), Janice Clark (John), Robbie Harrison (Julie), Chris Erwin, Lynn Shaw, Mike Erwin (Jane), Bill Erwin (Nancy) and James Erwin (Sherry); 13 grandchildren, Tina Wallace, James Michael Harrison, Renae Holland, Melissa Isler, Christina Calderwood, Beckie Harrison, Ashley Campbell, Elizabeth Harrison, Bradley and Kevin Shaw, Ben, Jace and Jesse Erwin; 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of extended family and many friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with John Deakins officiating and eulogy by Jody Holland.

Honorary pallbearers are Pat Evans, Verl Martin, Cherry Turner and Larry Mount.

Burial will be at a later date at Hill Top Cemetery.
