Obituary
Bessie Maize, age 70 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away March 8, 2010 in Harrison.
The daughter of O.D. and Edna (Edwards) Barnes was born April 16, 1939 in Burlington, Arkansas.
Bessie had worked in the housekeeping department at Mass Merchandisers and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Maggie Howell; and a sister-in-law, Maureen Barnes.
Survivors are her son, Chuck Maize and wife, Gina of Harmon; mother, Edna Barnes of Harrison; brothers, Raymond Barnes of Kansas City, Kansas and Howard Barnes and wife, Cathie of Marshall; sister, Imogene Bird and husband, Dennis of Chico, California; a grandson, Corey Maize of Harmon; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, March 14, 2010 with funeral services Monday, March 15, 2010, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Ray Edwards and James Edwards officiated. Burial followed in Burlington Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bessie's nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Ozark Counseling Service, Boone County Sheriff's Office, and the Harrison Police Department.
Memorial donations may be made toward final expenses.
