Bert Wesley Harding, age 88 of Harrison, AR passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006 at his home.
The son of Troy Wesley and Sarah Berthena (Hathcoat) Harding was born November 12, 1918 in Olvey, AR. His parents preceded him in death along with a son, James Paul Harding; a half-brother, Warren Wesley Harding; and a granddaughter, Zanetta Evelyn Carlton.
Bert was a lifelong resident of the area and retired as a Boone County Road Foreman.
Survivors include his wife, Emma (Dees) Harding of the home; a daughter, Janis Evelyn Carlton and her husband, Arland of Harrison; grandchildren, William Bert Carlton (who was born on his Grandpa's 50th Birthday), James Wesley Harding, and Sherry Lynn Harding; great grandchildren, Zanetta Carlton and Cynthia Dawn Carlton; sisters, Mary Harding, Ruth Thomason, and Marie Griever and a brother, Troy James Harding all of Harrison.
Service was Tuesday, November 28, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Elmer Griever officiated. Burial was in New Hope/Starkey Cemetery on Wilson Springs Road. Bill Carlton, Zanetta Carlton, Cynthia Carlton, Wesley Harding, Lynn Harding, Buddy West, and Connie Young, served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Garland Brasel, Leroy Simmons, Hersel Jefferson, Les Hathcoat, and James Hathcoat.
Visitation was Monday, November 27, at the funeral home.
