Geneva Bernice Johnson, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at home at the age of 95.

The daughter of Bart and Tester (McRee) Jobe was born November 4, 1921 in McIntosh County, Oklahoma on the river bottom near McRee Bend.

Bernice moved to Harrison 14 years ago from Henryetta, Oklahoma and attended Shiloh Baptist Church until her health no longer permitted.

She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and spending time with her family.  She spent most of her time in the kitchen, where she loved to bake and cook.  Nanny, as she was known to her family, was the matriarch of her family and was the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, L.D. Johnson.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Brenda Andrews of Harrison and Janeth Rea Parks of Norman, OK; 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Rocky.
