Obituary

Bernard Robert Brown, age 85 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Harold and Wilhemena (Bosman) Brown was born February 27, 1928 in Highland Park, Michigan.

Bernard was a U.S. Navy veteran during WWII. He was the Fire Chief of the Cottonwood Fire Department for nine years and a member of the Harrison VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Phyllis Hunter; brothers, Harold Brown and Wilfred Brown; and his mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Verda Hendrickson.

Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Beverly (Hendrickson) Brown of the home; daughters, Christine Evens and husband Rhett of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Robin Bardin of Cotter, Arkansas; brothers, Jack Brown of Trenton, Michigan, Jim Brown of Mio, Michigan and George Brown of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, William Bardin.

There as a memorial service Monday, February 3, 2014 at Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill, Arkansas.
