Bernadine Heuschmidt, 87, of Harrison, passed away October 19, 2024, at The Springs of Mt. Vista in Harrison.

Funeral Mass service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, with Rev. Ben Riley officiating, and a Rosary service immediately preceding the Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home with family members serving as pallbearers.

The daughter of Joseph and Bernice Pociask was born November 11, 1936, in Chicago, Ill.

She was a babysitter from the 1980's through the 2000's.  Known by all as "Miss Bernie," she helped with several local church daycare programs, such as Mothers' Day Out.  She was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church and an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carl Heuschmidt.

Survivors include her five children: David Heuschmidt of Denver, Colorado; John Heuschmidt and wife Kim of Lutz, Florida; Kenneth Heuschmidt of Harrison; Carol Bradford and husband Wes of Harrison; and Carl Heuschmidt and wife Jessica of Centerton, Arkansas.  She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jacob, Allison, John, Matthew, Dillon and Evan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse.
