Benoya Thedford Fisk, age 94 of St. Joe, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Highland Court Nursing Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
The son of Robert and Dellie (Hunter) Fisk was born June 27, 1927 in the Richland Community of Searcy County, Arkansas.
Benoya was a Christian and he loved the Lord. He was a 32 nd Degree Mason and was a certified lecturer. He was a hard worker all of his life, spending time at the sawmill, Oberman's, Flexsteel and Claridge. His passion was always his farm and his cows. He loved checking his cows and taking care of them.
Benoya had a big personality that spanned his life, from his younger years, being well known for driving fast to his later years, with his creative story telling. He loved to stretch stories and get people stirred up or tease with the endings he came up with. He adored his grandchildren, but he also loved to pester and aggravate. He was loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Burnis Beal Fisk; his siblings and their spouses, Charlie (Zelma) Fisk, Walter (Bernell) Fisk, Ida Mae (Roy) Martin, Velma (Clyde) Surber and Cordie (Rufus) Eddings; his brother-in-law and best friend, E.G. Erwin; daughter-in-law, Jackie Fisk and sister-in-law, Marcelee Haley.
Benoya is survived by 2 sons, Billy Fisk and wife Rita and Tommy Fisk; 2 daughters, Carolyn Loggins and Pat Martin and husband Larry; 10 grandchildren, Joel (Emily) Loggins, Brian (Lauren) Loggins, Craig (Tammy) Loggins, Amanda (Gabe) Hensley, Ashley (Clint) Ragland, Alyssa (Jeff) Farmer, Todd Martin, Tracy (Matthew) Grinder, Erica (Landon) Breedlove and Steven Kyle Fisk; 20 great grandchildren, Jacob, Paige, Kiah, Ivy Anthony, Hannah, Clint, Trent, Dason, Kylee, Kenley, Emma Kate, Brantley F., Reese, Ross, Caleb, Brantley E., Addison, Noah and Bryce, plus one great grandchild on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Friday, April 8, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Benjamin Bradley officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Nichols Cemetery near Pindall.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM – 7 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren.
