Obituary
Benny Hammond, age 59 of Harrison, AR passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Saling Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, AR.
The son of the late Clyde Houston and Walsie (Campbell) Hammond, formerly of Mt. Judea,AR, he was born March 5, 1949 in Fresno, CA.
Benny enjoyed music, playing the piano, and riding Harley Davidsons. He served in the U.S. Marines.
Survivors are his two brothers, Clyde Hammond, Jr. of Fresno, CA and Bill Hammond of Harrison. He is also survived by a host of Newton County relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at Bellefonte Cemetery, 3 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2008 with Terry Eddings officiating. Visitation was open at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers were Ed Knight, Heath Knight, Dale Watkins, and Michael Jay Madrid.
Arrangements have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
