Bennie Lee Campbell passed away December 27, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was born October 26, 1937 in Marsena, Arkansas to Newman and Clattie Campbell. He graduated from Snow Ball High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard until 1961. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Barbara Sue Ruff on April 20, 1962.
"Gentle Ben", as a lot of people called him, enjoyed running a dozer, hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He passed the love of the outdoors and how to be a gentleman on to his son who was his pride and joy. Then came his granddaughter who quickly became his favorite. Ben was a friend to many. He was born into a generation where integrity and honor was taught and lived. He always set that example for everyone to look up to.
Ben leaves behind a wife, Barbara, of Omaha; son, Brent and wife, Jennifer, of Omaha; granddaughter, Jorden and husband, Clayton, of Harrison; step granddaughter, Ashli and husband, Jeremy, of Berryville; step granddaughter, Heather and husband, Brandon, of Harrison; step granddaughter, Candace and husband, Eric, of Green Forest; step granddaughter, Samantha and husband, Josh, of Omaha; three great grandchildren, Josie, Katie, and Kirby; and nine step great grandchildren, Foster, Braydon, Cara, Brooke, Teagan, Connor, Maverick, Blakelyn, and Avery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bonnie and Betty; and five brothers, NF, Jim, Bill, Donald, and Johnny; great grandchild, Oliver; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation is Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Funeral service is Monday, January 3, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison at 2:00 PM Pastor Nelson Henderson will officiate. Interment will be at Gass Cemetery in Omaha. Pallbearers are Carl Campbell, Joe Jones, Larry Smith, Randy Roberts, Bill Holtby, and Darius Adams. Honorary pallbearers Allen Campbell, Elton Smith, John Lee Campbell, Kevin Parker, Donald McDaniel and Clayton Creamer.
